what's happening - small groups

Long before the first church building was even dreamed of, the early Christians shared their lives together and met in homes—smaller segments of a growing movement that was impacting their world.  It was in these small gatherings that they lived out the kind of life-changing relationships that are described throughout the New Testament.

We believe that these kind of intimate gatherings are just as important to the life of a church as Sunday morning gatherings (and maybe even more important!). Small groups are not just another program—they are the heart of our faith community. The feel and format of each group is an expression of the unique people that are a part of it (that's our Huntsville group in 2009 over on the left), however all of these groups are open to and comfortable for anyone, no matter where you are on your spiritual journey.
